Common Sense Approach To Weight Loss After Pregnancy
by Beverley Brooke
OK, so every woman gains weight while they are pregnant... That's perfectly normal.
It's also perfectly normal to want to lose weight after your pregnancy.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with aspiring to get yourself back into shape right after your pregnancy, in fact, I certainly encourage it!
However, it is important that you take a common sense approach when you are attempting to lose weight after your pregnancy. Remember, the weight will not come off overnight...
But it will come off, if you go about it in the right way.
It is very important that you dont try to fit back into your pre-pregnancy clothes right after birth.
For one thing, you will still be bloated and swollen from the delivery. And you will still be carrying around most of the body fat you gained, to help keep your baby safe and sound during pregnancy.
Usually the majority of women can safely lose between one and two pounds a week after the birth of their baby.
This rate of weight loss will help ensure a safe, healthy and steady weight loss, without compromising the moms health, or the health of the new baby.
